Jack Restall is a new media artist working with contemporary software to explore the limbo between the real and digital world. His artistic journey started with with a love for music and technology, which soon progressed into creating audio visual work using TouchDesigner. After working on some small scale sound installations in Northampton, Jack started to drift into the traditional art world, exhibiting in major art cities around Europe like Barcelona, Florence and London. His work focuses on distorted figures, fragmented gestures, and high-contrast visual fields that blur the line between representation and abstraction. Using image layering, manipulation, and iterative degradation, Restall’s work reflects the search for something beyond our immediate perception and a calling to live a more organic, fulfilling life.
